How to order, the requirements, process and terms & conditions

Requirements and choosing your photos:

The purpose of my business is to put your late loved ones into portraits for you, with this being said, I understand your photographs may be dated, pixalted or even damaged. please be assured majority of photographs I can fix. Your photographs will all be ran through a restoration app to help correct the quality. The generator clings on to each pixel of your photograph to distinguish each feature clearly. If needed I will continue to hand draw onto your photograph till all features are clear and HD. If you are worried your photograph may be beyond repair, don’t hesitate to contact me before placing the order, email me at hausofroxart@hotmail.com. I will contact you back as soon as possible and let you know if your photographs are suitable for me to use.

if you have already placed an order and your photographs are not suitable, I will contact you to get alternatives.

With all of the above in mind, please try and stick to the requirements that are needed when choosing your photographs

• Avoid photographs that have been taken from a distance, try to stick to photographs with the person torso upwards. Far away photographs can result in the restoration looking robotic

• If your edit is to contain animals, the photographs of them have to be initially crystal clear. Animals can not be restored within my app generator

• Avoid ‘selfies’ this can adjust your angle. I need photographs that have been taken from straight ahead and has the whole subjects head, face, arms and torso. Please do not send any cropped/missing parts of faces or heads

• Avoid photographs that have filters. This includes Snapchat filters or filters that have altered your colour setting. Filters are hard to remove and it’s difficult to get the hue and contrast back to a natural state. Photographs without filters tend to blend more in the final edit next to the added members creating a more realistic illusion.
  
  
• Avoid photographs that have dark shadows/ to much contrasted light.
  
  
• Avoid photographs that have coloured lighting due to the original setting (lights from a nightclub/ pub etc).
  

• If you have photographs that contain other people in that you do not want to include in your final edit. Do not worry, just let me know in the description box when ordering who I am keeping and who I am removing. Avoid trying to crop the photograph yourself, your photographs may have the subjects arms/ hands in it that I can use to my advantage. If you know how to.. before sending them to me, simply draw an ‘x’ through the face/faces of the people you do not want to use.
  
  
• Individual photos of each person always work best, that way, you can make sure the person is looking, sitting correctly etc. but if you have a group photo you also prefer to use. That’s no problem! Whatever photo you favourite most I’ll work with.

• It makes no difference whether the subject is sitting or standing, but when it comes to babies.. a seated position is always best as I tend to put younger children in laps being held. If possible, send a photo of your young one already sitting in a baby chair/ propped up in the corner of your sofa so they are in a up right seated position. Or even better, already being held by someone, I can remove the original person holding them if necessary. This rule also works best for newborns. Avoid having babies lying down, it can result in it being obvious in the final edit.
  
  
• Please assess your photographs you have chosen clearly and make sure you are 100% happy with your choice. It is EXTREMELY important, as when the final edit is completed, no photos can be changed or swapped due to me having to restart the whole piece again. On average a 2 person edit can take up to 2 hours to make.
  
  
• With the above rule, please draw your attention to what attire your subject is wearing. School uniforms (school badges will be removed), coats, hats, swimming costumes etc. will remain if visible. Try to pick photographs that with blend well visually together.
  
  
• Don’t worry about background people and objects, all will be removed. Extra hands, drink glasses, untidiness will all be corrected to make your final piece aesthetically pleasing.
  
  
• If you have a desired positioning/ who you want as the focus/ who you want to have holding babies etc. please make it as clear as possible in the instruction box when ordering. If I struggle to understand your vision, I will contact you prior to making it. If no positioning is chosen, I will place people where they fit best.
  

Whats included within your digital edit price:

You will receive both Colour and black and white versions of your edit, so no need to choose. As default, you will receive a faded edge version, a clouded edge Version, and all designs will have a natural and oil painted version. If you desire a heavenly background please make it clear what you would like in the instruction box when ordering. If you would like to keep your original background and not have it removed, please choose the “keep original background” option when ordering.
